About

Ishraki is a transdisciplinary researcher who uses a mix of embodied performances, scientific experiments, and community engagements to facilitate new modes of inquiry. They draw upon methodologies of both art and science to explore themes of posthumanism, art and science collaboration, sensory augmentation, and modeling subjective experiences. Recent projects like "Poetics of Inquiry: How to Stay with Trouble," "Bacterial Consent," and "Sensory Augmentation" offer an art-science collaborative approach, navigating the curious space between the known and the unknown.

Ishraki holds a MSc. in Art, Culture, and Technology from MIT and is currently a member of NEW INC at the New Museum. They are developing a art/science research lab in collaborations with interdisciplinary partners, communities, stakeholders, and institutions across a global network. Ishraki is also an assistant professor of visual arts at NYU Shanghai and is currently based between Shanghai, Dhaka, and NYC.
